4 Simple Tips To Rejuvenate Your Skin During Winter

Winter can be quite unforgiving on your skin. The cooler, drier air can sadly rob you of your summery glow and leave your skin feeling dry, dull and uncomfortable.

But not to fear, you don’t have to endure dry and flaky skin all season long. There are a few super simple tips and tricks that you can add to your routine that will help you get back that glow in no time.

Show your skin some love with a Rejuvenation Treatment

If the winter weather has your skin feeling dull or dry, why not revitalise it with a rejuvenation treatment? Not only can these treatments help dehydrated skin and give your skin’s clarity a boost, they can also help with a range of other skin concerns (e.g. fine lines and wrinkles, the appearance of veins, unwanted pigmentation, and more). These rejuvenation treatments include:

  • Medical micro-needling. A proven treatment for increasing collagen under depressed scars.
  • Microdermabrasion. A gentle treatment for abrading dead skin cells to leave you with radiant skin.
  • Red Light Therapy. A soothing treatment that also can help rebuild collagen.
  • Fractional Therapy. A gentle option for treating fine lines and pigmentation.
  • Peels. An affordable but effective option for various skin conditions.
  • Platelet Rich Plasma. A natural treatment to generate collagen and prevent signs of ageing.
  • Galvanic Infusion. A relaxing treatment for powerful skin lightening.
  • Photodynamic Therapy. An effective treatment for precancerous sunspots and enhance collagen production.

Moisturise!

What is one of the best ways to keep warm in winter? Hot showers, for sure. While a long and steamy shower seems like a luxurious way to fight off the winter chills, excessive amounts of hot water can strip your skin of all its natural oils.  It only takes around 3 minutes for the moisture boost you receive from the shower to evaporate.

To help lock in that hydration boost, applying moisturiser should be your next step after drying off from the shower. So, make sure that you keep your bathroom cabinet stocked with your favourite moisturiser to remind you to apply while your skin is still damp.  This will help keep your skin healthy and lively.

Of course, a moisturising lip balm and hand cream are great to keep in your bag while you’re on the go. Apart from keeping chapped lips and hands at bay, balms/creams with a lovely scent bring a little ‘luxe’ to your every day!

Keep Hydrated

As the weather begins to cool down, our skin becomes drier and more sensitive. When it’s cold outside, we tend to forget to drink more water and this unfortunately strips our pores of the moisture it needs to maintain a healthy and radiant glow. Staying hydrated is an essential part of any skincare routine. How so? Well, water helps to conceal pores and wrinkles as well as helping to flush away any nasty toxins that can accelerate signs of aging. Not only this, water works to increase blood flow and provide your skin with all the nutrients it needs to recover. That’s why it’s important to keep hydrated.

To help keep your skin happy and hydrated it’s recommended that you drink at least 8-10 glasses per day. Now, that doesn’t need you to gulp these glasses down all at once! It’s more beneficial to continue to sip on water throughout the day. If you struggle to drink the recommended amount, read our top tips here.

Slip, Slop, Slap

In North Queensland, we don’t experience a ‘typical’ winter as the weather remains quite warm, and our UV index is still rated as ‘high’! When the temperatures drop, it’s easy to forget about applying sunscreen. Even in winter, it’s still important to shield yourself from harmful UVs that can take a toll on your skin if you’re not careful.

To keep those nasty UVs at bay, we would recommend using a sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or more to protect your skin. The best way to do this is to find a facial sunscreen you’re happy with, and apply it before applying your makeup. While your foundation or BB cream may contain SPF, usually the quantity required to be effective is far more than you would usually use. Then before you walk out the door, remember  to apply sunscreen to your arms, chest, and anywhere else that is likely to see the sun (even if it’s incidental exposure, such as while you’re driving).

It’s simply a matter of establishing a consistent daily habit! (And if you need further convincing: research shows daily sunscreen use actually reverses signs of ageing and existing damage!)

skin consultation

Cut through the confusion with a skin consult

Are you wanting to start looking after your skin and are finally ready to do something for yourself? A personalised skin consultation is a great place to start! Many of us live by a trial-and-error method of skin care, without taking the time to understand the underlying influences, or what products/treatments are actually best suited to our skin. However, it’s never too late to put your skin first and give it the best treatment possible by visiting a qualified cosmetic nurse, trained to identify and address a range of issues.

As unique individuals, we all have unique skin. Whether you’re concerned about fine lines, acne scarring, or pigmentation, there is no ‘one size fits all’ fix for concerns you may have about your skin. That is why we recommend a personalised skin consult for anyone who is thinking of taking the next step in their skin journey!

What happens during the consultation?

Your personalised skin consultation is conducted by one of our highly-trained cosmetic nurses.  During the 30 minute session, we gain an understanding of your skin concerns, and what would be a realistic solution to suit your lifestyle. Some of the questions we go through include:

  • What is it that bothers you about your skin?
  • What would you like to change?
  • What is your current skin regime like?

By clarifying points such as these in your own mind before you arrive, you will be able to better communicate with your nurse what it is you wish to achieve. Similarly, you should reflect on the level of commitment you are prepared to make, both financially and with regards to your time.

With so many treatments and products available on the market, we understand that it can be easy to get overwhelmed. Through a personalised skin consultation, our highly trained cosmetic nurse will help cut through the confusion and prescribe a course of treatments and products that are both safe and effective.

What happens after?

Need time to think about what is next for your skin? No worries! When walking away from your personalised skin consult, we will provide you with product samples, so you can try them out without having to make any major investment. Many of our clients see results within a week. Alongside these samples, we’ll give you our treatment menu with your personalised recommendations. We give you the time, information and a realistic price guide so you can accurately assess your options.

The best part of our job is being able to see the progression in our clients’ skin. From the very beginning at your initial skin consult to the end of your treatment, we notice not only the physical difference in your skin, but also the confidence you gain as a result.

Whether you have fine lines, wrinkles, dull skin, acne, sun damage, pigmentation, textured skin, or any concern at all, we have a tailored solution to suit you. At just $55, a skin consultation is a worthwhile investment in your skin. Don’t keep putting your concerns on the backburner – give yourself the care you deserve! What’s the big deal about peels?

The name says it all: chemical peels literally peel away imperfections in the skin. Chemical peels are one of our most popular treatments for one simple reason… they work!

What is it?

A chemical peel is a cosmetic treatment to improve the appearance and texture of your skin. Each peel is different, tailored, and targeted perfectly to your specific skin issues. A solution is applied to remove the top layers of dead skin cells to resurface and rejuvenate your skin. Once this happens, your ‘new’ skin often appears clearer with improved pigmentation and a visible reduction in sun damage, acne and fine lines.

How does it work?

Peels work by stimulating new collagen production and encouraging healthy skin cell growth For best results, a series of peels is recommended. A course of skin peels gradually increases the concentration of active ingredients which remarkably improves the texture, tone and appearance of your skin.

What can peels do for you?

Peels can be very effective in treating many types of skin problems. Some peels are specifically designed to reduce pigmentation and active acne. Other peels give a plumping, hydrating effect, reducing the visible signs of aging. As well as this, stronger chemical peels can be used selectively to target acne scars or deeper lines, helping to smooth the skin’s surface.

How about a galvanic infusion?!

A galvanic infusion provides the skin with a deeper infusion of rejuvenating ingredients to treat an array of skin concerns. A galvanic infusion can:

  • reduce dullness and increase skin glow
  • minimise fine lines and wrinkles
  • improve skin elasticity
  • boost blood circulation in your skin
  • detoxify your skin
  • improve complexion

A galvanic infusion uses a low-level, continuous current that stimulates cells, moves tissue fluid and softens blackheads. It drives rejuvenating oils and ingredients deep into the epidermis.

How do peels and galvanic infusions work together?

As mentioned earlier, a series of peels is recommended as the best way to get the most effective results. We recommend a six-week alternating regime: ie. a cosmetic peel one week, followed by galvanic infusion the next week. This is then followed by a slightly stronger chemical peel. We find that a cycle of 3 x chemical peels and galvanic infusions (a total of six treatments over six weeks), has the best results!

What should I expect after my treatment?

The side effects of receiving a peel or galvanic infusion are quite minimal and the recovery time is little to none. You will generally experience redness to your skin immediately after treatment.  If desired, we apply a mineral makeup so you can go about your day as if nothing has been done.

Want those pesky acne scars sorted before your big event?

[fusion_text]

If there is a big event coming up in your life, we know you’re counting down the days! Whether it be your formal, graduation, or even possibly your wedding day, it’s natural that you want to look your best.

Many of us battle with acne at some stage in life, and long after the acne has cleared, we can be left with some type of acne scarring.  Sometimes, having these scars can put a dampener on your self-confidence, but we want you feeling your best at all times, especially on your big day!

We offer a number of treatments available to help combat these pesky acne scars. Each of these treatments suits a different skin type and is best targeted at a different issue. Our treatments are highly effective because we understand how the scars were caused in the first place. Some are suitable for targeting active acne.

These treatments include:

  • Medical micro-needling. A proven treatment for increasing collagen under depressed scars.
  • Targeted high strength chemical peels . Applied to depressed scars only, peels improve skin texture and encourage healthy tissue regeneration.
  • Red light treatment. A soothing treatment that also can help rebuild collagen.
  • Therapeutic chemical peels. An affordable yet effective option for treating acne.
  • Transdermal infusion. Using an electrical charge to infuse active acne-fighting ingredients deep into the skin.
  • Blue light therapy. Reduces the bacteria that cause acne

We also highly recommend the Allmedic range of skincare products. They are designed by doctors to repair and protect the skin. Their clinical-grade cleansers and scrubs are particularly good for acne-prone skin.

There are many different types of acne scarring – including the depth, size and colour of the scar. While the variety of treatments can seem daunting, the best place to start is by booking in for a skin assessment. Our experts will help determine which treatments/products are the right course of action for your skin.

As you might expect, there is no overnight solution to reduce the appearance of acne scars, it can often take months. If you want to see an improvement before your special day, it’s best to make an appointment well in advance. As Estee Lauder once said, “Confidence breeds beauty”. Waking up confident on your special day is the best kind of beauty!

Hair loss shouldn’t be a problem in 2021

There’s nothing worse than brushing out handfuls of hair every morning! Although it’s normal to lose between 50-100 strands of hair a day, it can be concerning when it seems like your hair is thinning right before your eyes. Many things can affect hair loss, including hormonal changes, weight loss and general aging. But you don’t have to live with hair loss – because hair loss shouldn’t be a problem in 2021! We offer treatments and products which actively combat hair loss to give you thicker, fuller, more beautiful hair.

What causes hair loss?

Hormones & Genetics

Hair loss can happen at any stage in your life. There are certain things that can trigger this process, like experiencing pregnancy, rapid weight loss, or a serious illness. Hormonal changes and stress can also affect hair production. Hair loss can be hereditary as well, being passed down through generations (it’s called androgenic alopecia).

External hair loss factors

Our genetics don’t always dictate the occurrence of our hair loss. Certain external factors can play a big role in hair loss. These can include:

  • Wearing a hairstyle that pulls on the scalp. When your hair is continually pulled by tight hairstyles, the continual pulling can lead to permanent hair loss. This is called traction alopecia (and it can even be caused by using hair extensions to make the hair appear fuller or longer!).
  • Twirling or pulling at the hair. Some people twirl or pull their hair as a means to reduce stress, sometimes doing it without realising! The name for this is trichotillomania.
  • Bleaching, perming and relaxing the hair. Chemically treating your hair can cause it to thin due to weakening the hair and causing it to snap. Always use these methods in moderation!
  • Nutrition deficiency. If you’re deficient in essential nutrients such as iron, protein, zinc or biotin, hair loss can occur as a result.

What can be done about hair loss?

In-clinic treatments

A treatment we use in clinic to combat hair loss is platelet rich plasma (PRP), which helps to restore hair growth after the follicles have begun shrinking. PRP is used by both males and females as an effective treatment to combat hair loss. Speak to us today about assessing your suitability for this treatment.

Our clinical at-home products

We all want thick, beautiful hair, but sometimes our bodies just don’t agree. We stock the Foligain range of clinical grade products that actively work to reduce hair loss and promote hair growth. The products are affordable, effective and really popular among our clients. See for yourself what all the fuss is about https://www.2021.skinovation.com.au/product-category/brands/foligain/?fbclid=IwAR3QbmJFsa_AUHjhhNI1BeLvRvFmDTT5pDFcGS2RksPvB1DQhwAqUxv3njs.

We can also support your hair regrowth with the use of a home red light cap. Research has shown impressive benefits for hair loss with regular home use of a red light cap for 30 minutes, three times per week.

See the difference! Before & after hair loss treatment:

If you’re experiencing hair loss, you are not alone! Hair loss can be caused by many factors. If you are concerned about hair loss, we can help. Despite the cause of your hair loss, generally the sooner you start treatment, the better your outcomes will be!

Celebrating International Women’s Day

Today is International Women’s Day, a whole day to celebrate the awesome achievements of our sisters, mothers, colleagues and friends. At Skinovation, we’re passionate about celebrating everything wonderful about our fierce community of females. Whether you have a morning tea to celebrate, or just take time to reflect, we want to remind you this International Women’s Day, that you are a strong, powerful, and beautiful woman.

The theme of this year’s International Women’s Day is Women in Leadership: Achieving an Equal Future in a Covid-19 World. The United Nations Women’s Executive Director Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka said,

“We need women’s representation that reflects all women and girls in all their diversity and abilities, and across all cultural, social, economic and political situations. This is the only way we will get real societal change that incorporates women in decision-making as equals and benefits us all.”

At Skinovation, we totally agree with this! Our 100% female team includes five incredibly talented and experienced professionals:

  • Dr Helena Rosengren – MBChB, FRACGP, FACSCM, FSCCA, MMed, MPHTM, DRCOG
  • Maree – Registered Nurse
  • Laura – Registered Nurse
  • Aleisha – Practice Manager / Client Liaison
  • Angela – Clinic Supervisor/ Client Liaison

Supporting Townsville’s women of all ages

We are passionate about helping women to look and feel their best. As Estee Lauder said, “Confidence breeds beauty”. Ultimately, many of our clients often approach us to improve their self-confidence, allowing them to tackle the day as the most confident version of themselves.

We are also passionate about supporting women of all ages through our sponsorships of important programs. Last year, we invested in the personal development conference called Choose You Empowerment Event. Choose You was all about making yourself, and your own goals a priority. As women, we spend a lot of time caring for the important people in our lives, but often our own self-care takes a backseat. Therefore, investing in events like this help to remind ourselves that our own goals and health are important.

Our self image is developed from a young age, so that’s why we think it’s important to help young women in our community to feel empowered and enhance their own positive self esteem. At Saint Margaret Mary’s College, we supported a 12 week ‘self love makeover’ program called the Big Sister Experience. The pressures of social media and the perceived need to be perfect all the time make can have a terrible impact on the mental health of young women. Developing positive self esteem as a teen is a pathway to success as they come into adulthood.

As we come into 2021, we’re constantly looking for new ways to invest in our beautiful community of women in Townsville.

Don’t just take today to celebrate yourself and the powerful community of females you surround yourself with. Remember each and every day that your contribution as a woman is important.

Happy International Women’s Day from the team at Skinovation!

Excessive sweating? This could be the cause.

Unless you’re hitting it hard at the gym, or experiencing a particularly hot summer’s day, underarm wet patches or sweaty palms can be the source of constant embarrassment.

Although it’s not widely known, about 3% of the population suffer from an underlying condition which produces excessive sweating. Caused by someone other than heat or physical activity, hyperhidrosis commonly affects the armpits, hands, feet or face.

While hyperhidrosis has no adverse physical health implications, excessive sweating generally impacts a person’s wellbeing and quality of life. In fact, 90% of hyperhidrosis patients report that the condition affects their emotional state. The majority of patients feel less confident and embarrassed by the way their sweating interferes with their daily life. For example, the vast majority of people with affected palms avoid shaking hands as a result of their condition, or their clothes may always be sweat-soaked.

Sarah’s story

Although she didn’t realise the cause, Sarah could not remember a time when her life was not affected by hyperhidrosis. Despite the weather, when she was younger Sarah always wore long sleeves so she could wipe away the excess sweat from her palms.

“My sweat was probably two to three times the average person when they’re nervous,” Sarah says. When Sarah started school, her paperwork would get wet from her hands. When she was learning to drive, the steering wheel would get slippery. Her mum even remembers a six-year-old Sarah refusing to hold her hand because of sweaty palms.

Sarah was diagnosed with hyperhidrosis when she was fourteen, and after seeking treatment, she no longer experiences social anxiety and now happily wears short sleeves!

Sarah’s story is not unique, however she was fortunate to have a relatively early diagnosis and was able to seek treatment. Perhaps because hyperhidrosis is not widely known, and perhaps because of their embarrassment, many sufferers never realise their excessive sweating is caused by an underlying condition and therefore never seek treatment.

What can be done?

If you or someone you know experiences excessive sweating, seek advice from a doctor. Hyperhidrosis may be the culprit, however it may be caused by other conditions (such as diabetes, menopause or thyroid problems). The good news is that a variety of treatments DO exist to combat the negative impacts caused by excessive sweating.

One such treatment is the injection of a well-known muscle relaxant. These injections block the nerve signals responsible for sweating and stop the sweat glands from producing too much sweat. Initially this treatment may have to be performed every 4-6 months as the nerves regenerate, however over time patients can often go longer between treatments.

A simple and non-invasive treatment, a local numbing cream is first applied and tiny injections are made. Minor bruising and swelling may be possible, but generally adverse effects are minimal. Patients normally start seeing results within five days. Apart from the physical improvement, several studies have reported that this treatment drastically improves quality of life and psychosocial wellbeing.

2020 Trends: Skincare is the new lipstick

Have you ever heard of the ‘lipstick effect’? Historically, booming lipstick sales are normally an indicator of a crisis or economic downturn. Lipstick is seen as an affordable luxury during tough times instead of more extravagant purchases. Following COVID-19, this trend did not continue but another rose in its place: face masks, exfoliants, and all things skincare!

Like many other businesses across Australia, the necessary closure of beauty and cosmetic clinics (such as ours) prevented Australians from keeping up with their usual professional treatments. Instead, consumers embraced skincare and at-home treatments in a big way. In fact, it seems we were somewhat beauty-obsessed during the first months of lockdown!

With the ease of online shopping during lockdown, and an obvious desire to nurture self care through skin care, sales figures revealed:

  • A 520% increase year-on-year in beauty product sales and a whopping 600% rise in skincare for department store Myer
  • A 61.2% increase in face mask sales and 62.7% increase in exfoliant sales through major online cosmetic retailer Adore Beauty
  • 55% revenue growth for popular skincare range Sukin

Also in 2020…

Another trend we’ve noticed over the last year is (finally!) the acceptance of sunscreen as an integral part of skincare. Instagram influencers, online bloggers and beauty websites are spruiking the benefits of daily sunscreen application and sharing sunscreen reviews (check out the Australian Instagram profiles of  @mandylikes_, @ms_hannah_e and @thelifeofclaire_).

We can only say hallelujah! Not only does sunscreen have obvious health benefits with a hugely decreased risk of skin cancer, but it is the best anti-ageing tool in the skincare arsenal. Our clients love the Hamilton SPF50+ tinted Everyday Face Cream which has a beautiful matte finish and acts as a primer for make-up. It does not contain water proofing so it will not be suitable if you’re an outdoor worker or going swimming. It’s available for just $16.95 in our clinic or here.

What’s in store for this year?

As we’re settling into 2021, we can only ponder on what this year might hold in store. Riding the skincare wave post-lockdown, Australians have been seeking professional advice and treatments to expand on their self-care routines started at home. We (and others in the industry) have seen an increase in demand for minimally invasive procedures such as microdermabrasion or galvanic infusions.

If you would like a professional assessment and find a routine best suited to address your particular skin concerns, please book with one of our trained nurses by calling us on 4775 5664 or click here.

Have you discovered the benefits of Cacay Oil yet?

Imagine a skincare product that is 100% pure, 100% natural, good for you and good for the planet.

Now stop imagining – because we have recently added a product that ticks all of those boxes to our retail range here at Skinovation Cosmetic Clinic.

We are very excited, after years of research, to introduce you to Cacay Oil, a natural superfood for your skin that boasts proven anti-ageing properties and will give you a glowing complexion.

What is Cacay Oil?

Cacay Oil is a new, natural anti-ageing oil that skincare experts are amazed by.

The oil is made from the Cacay nut, which grows naturally in the Amazon regions of South America. Cacay Oil is highly rich in a perfect combination of vitamins and fatty acids that will set to work regenerating your skin thereby reduce fine lines, blemishes and loss of firmness within weeks, leaving your skin glowing.

Cacay Oil is extremely rich in natural retinol (vitamin A), vitamin E and linoleic acid (vitamin F) containing far more than most other natural oils worldwide.

So, how does Cacay Oil compare to other natural oils?

Argan oil and rosehip oil are well known, popular natural skin care products that you have no doubt heard of. By comparison cacay oil has 1.5 times the vitamin E of both argan oil or rosehip oil and 3 times as much vitamin A as rosehip oil (argan oil has none at all).  When it comes to linoleic acid, cacay oil has almost double the linoleic acid of rosehip oil and 2.5 times that of argan oil.

Natural retinol (vitamin A) helps reduce wrinkles and pigmentation while boosting collagen thereby plumping, smoothing and brightening the skin. Because this is a natural form of retinol it can be used during the day while in the sun. Vitamin E locks in hydration and helps reduce any visible scarring. Linoleic acid helps with easy absorption of this miracle oil thereby locking in moisture while leaving the skin feeling smooth and non-greasy.

How will Cacay Oil improve my skin?

Being so rich in skin-nourishing vitamins and essential fatty acids twice-daily use of Cacay Oil will provide visible improvement to your skin’s clarity, plumpness and texture within the first few weeks of use.

The benefits of this wonder oil will be amplified by using a dermaroller either immediately before or after its application.

The benefits of Cacay Oil include:

  • Rapid skin absorption
  • Reducing wrinkles
  • Improving skin elasticity
  • Improving skin tone
  • Reducing the formation of acne
  • Reducing the appearance of scars and stretch marks
  • Reducing pigmentation
  • Improving skin texture; and
  • Increasing skin hydration and smoothness

How is Cacay Oil good for the planet?

While a large percentage of Cacay Oil is currently being processed from nuts gathered from wild-grown trees, the increasing popularity and economic potential of the product is encouraging farmers to replant native Cacay trees in deforested areas of Amazon rainforest.

These trees are fast growing and add nutrients back into the soil as they grow. The budding industry is also helping to improve the lives of low-income families in Amazon regions by creating more employment opportunities.

Additionally, no part of the harvested Cacay nut goes to waste. Once the oil is extracted, the remaining flesh is processed into ground flour for various uses and  the inner peel is composted for improved productivity of local agriculture.

Our team at Skinovation Cosmetic Clinic is proud to support the production and promotion of this wonderful natural product, which not only benefits you, but also the indigenous Amazonian people and our planet.

We encourage you to try Cacay Oil for yourself and let us know what you think.

Available in our clinic (70 Mooney St Gulliver) or shop online – free Click & Collect available!

What can I do about pigmentation?

If you have an uneven skin tone characterised by discolouration, dark spots or brown patches it’s highly likely you’re dealing with pigmentation.

Pigmentation is a very common skin concern, which can usually be improved.

There are many common skincare products you can incorporate into your daily skin care routine, as well as some more powerful treatments, that can help you regain a more even skin tone.

DAILY PIGMENTATION FIGHTERS:

Slip, slop, slap.
When your skin isn’t busy fighting off the immediate effects of the sun, it has the chance to set about repairing past sun damage. That means sunscreen, a hat and long sleeves aren’t just protecting you from sun burn and skin cancer right now, they’re also helping your skin to undo damage that’s already done. To acheive younger, smoother, more even coloured skin, simply get into the habit of putting on sunscreen each morning and covering up whenever you’re outdoors.

A, B and C serums
Serums are highly-concentrated products, typically rich in vitamins A, B or C, that can be a powerful tool in the fight against pigmentation, as well as many other skin concerns including fine lines, dryness, acne scarring and large pores. You can learn more about how to best use serums on our blog post here.

Hydroquinone
Hydroquinone is a skin lightening agent that can be used for a more severe form of pigmentation, known as hyperpigmentation. While hydroquinone rarely causes unwanted side-effects, it does tend to work better for certain skin types including people with normal or oilier skin and those with fairer skin tones. For some people, hydroquinone can in fact exacerbate hyperpigmentation. In Australia you can only access hydroquinalone through a medical practitioner with an interest in pigmentation concerns.

POWERFUL PIGMENTATION TREATMENTS

Peels
There are cosmetic peels available for all sorts of skin problems, including peels designed specifically to reduce the appearance of pigmentation. Peels work by removing the outer layer of dead skin cells to speed up the generation of younger, plumper looking skin. While they can be used as one off treatments, peels have been found to deliver much better results more quickly when used at fortnightly intervals over a couple of months. You can learn more about the power of peels here

Fractional Laser
Laser therapy can be used as an anti-ageing treatment for fine lines and pigmentation on the face, neck, décolletage and backs of hands. While other laser treatments might leave you feeling raw for several weeks, fractional laser is a gentler option that can be used at monthly intervals to deliver the same end result with a much shorter recovery time than other laser treatments.

Galvanic skin infusion
A relaxing, pampering treatment, galvanic infusion also allows deep skin absorption of powerful skin lightening and anti-ageing products.

There is an array of treatment options available for helping you reduce pigmentation and other skin concerns. If you’re confused or overwhelmed by all of the options, you may like to discuss your treatment options with a medical practitioner who can help you decide on a tailor-made approach for your particular needs.

The team at Skinovation Cosmetic Clinic would happy to consult you on your options.
