Having completed general practice training in the UK, Dr Helena Rosengren immigrated to Australia in 1994. She has now worked as an accomplished skin cancer doctor in Townsville for over 15 years establishing the Skin Repair Skin Cancer Clinic in 2009.
Fuelled by an eye for meticulous attention to detail and the gentle encouragement of friends requesting anti-ageing treatments (!) Dr Rosengren established a successful cosmetic clinic under the umbrella of the Skin Repair Skin Cancer Clinic.
With the demand for cosmetic treatments outstripping available space at the skin cancer clinic, the encouragement from loyal cosmetic clients and increasing awareness of the mental health crisis for teenagers, the vision of opening a stand-alone cosmetic clinic that could raise funds to help improve self-esteem in local teenage girls hatched.
Accompanied by a team of dedicated staff sharing her passion for excellence in patient care and cosmetic outcome Dr Rosengren opened Skinovation Cosmetic Clinic October 2017.
Having completed her nursing training, Marie worked in general nursing at the Townsville General Hospital before spending 14 years employed by the Australian Red Cross working throughout Australia collecting and processing of blood products.
Marie has had extensive training in skin and cosmetic procedures and her expertise is invaluable when working in our theatres or on cosmetic skin treatments offered at the centre. She has studied how the skin functions and enjoys using effective treatments that will achieve the desired results.
She is also a Qualified Justice of the Peace. In her leisure time, Marie enjoys gardening, golf, reading, spending time with her family and haute cuisine.
Having obtained CIBTAC and CIDESCO Diplomas of Beauty Therapy from Cork College of Commerce (Ireland) Laura worked in aesthetic and beauty therapy in Cardiff (Wales) and later in County Waterford (Ireland) in prestigious clinics for many years.
She moved to Australia in 2008 initially working as a beauty therapist in Perth. The following year, Laura relocated to Townsville to study a Certificate III in Aged Care and then went on to complete her Diploma in Enrolled Nursing. She has been employed by Blue Care as a nurse since 2011.
Laura joined the Skin Repair team in 2014 where both her nursing and aesthetic beauty skills have been greatly appreciated. With Skinovation opening its doors, Laura’s skill set and caring nature is a real asset for the clinic.
